Between Vision and Reality
We focused on improving collaboration between designers and developers with the goal of reducing misunderstandings and saving time and creating clearer workflows. Instead of traditional group brainstorming we worked with structured individual ideation methods to better understand the problem and develop strong solutions. Through sketches diagrams and critical thinking techniques we explored different ways to improve collaboration with a strong focus on clarity trust and efficient communication.
Defining a vision for growth
Based on this process we developed the idea of a Figma plugin that supports the handoff between design and development. Designers usually work in Figma but developers often struggle to fully understand design files. With the plugin we can share selected components directly from Figma to a shared website where developers can view interact with and comment on them. Feedback is organized in threads and we can track progress together in one place.

Through research methods such as interviews user testing and competitive analysis we identified the handoff as the main problem area. The final concept shows how our plugin reduces feedback loops improves collaboration and helps teams work more efficiently by overcoming communication barriers.
Great user experience is the result of great collaboration.
Māku is a Figma plugin that supports designers during the design process. It allows designers to collect different types of feedback such as design development and UX engineering feedback directly on frames. This helps reduce feedback loops and optimizes the workflow. Individual feedback can be turned into to do items and completed step by step.
